The European Union and NATO are not panicking because of uncertainty about the future support for Ukraine from the United States.
This was reported by the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olha Stefanishyn
Why are Europe and the Alliance not worried about the lack of American assistance?
Stefanyshi emphasized that Ukraine had already been provided with financial resources until 2025, and the Alliance had taken over the coordination of military assistance, which avoided serious disruptions in the supply of weapons and equipment.
The minister noted that NATO has already partially taken over the functions of the main coordinator, and the Alliance’s full-fledged mission to support Ukraine (NSATU) could start working as early as February.
She also emphasized that the EU is aware of the importance of 2025 as a crucial period for Ukraine, so Brussels is ready to make every effort to support Kyiv.
As a reminder, Ukraine has declared its readiness to consider cooperation with European gas transit operators.
